EXPOTUR, the commercialization travel mart of Costa Rica has been held continuously since 1985 and it has become the most important event in Latin America. Our event is thoughtfully committed with sustainable tourism which allows for an adequate social, economic and environmental balance. During the event a series of different activities will be developed in order to make it Carbon neutral, this means that all emissions generated as part of the regular development of the event will be compensated to the environment.

With the problems that humanity is suffering today, as it is the case of the severe economic crisis and the consequences of the terrible deterioration caused to the planet and to the environment, we feel our responsibility in fulfilling our sustainable objectives; we want to continue this great task of promoting the growth of tourism, activity that entails the sharing of our cultures within a healthy enjoyment as a complement. The positive exchange that we all prune to offer to the world, soothes our difficulties and fills us with hope; all we want well-being and prosperity.
